“POSTAL PALACE " At the beginning of century XX, and with the purpose of
impelling the communications in Mexico, as well as modernizing and to embellish
the capital of the country, was decided the construction of a building destined
the post office. With this object the Italian architect was contracted Adamo
Boari, that design the asked for work thinking pricely about the postal function.
As for the aesthetic aspect of the building, the architect combined several
classic styles with modern techniques of construction, in 1902 was placed the
first stone.
