“100 YEARS OF LUIS BARRAGÁN " It is born in Guadalajara, Jal., the 9 of March of
1902. It makes its professional studies in the Free School of Engineers,
Guadalajara. It is received from engineer in 1924 and later it travels from 1925
to 1926 to France and Spain. It exerts in Guadalajara, Jal. between 1927 and
1936 and in the city of Mexico and its environs from 1936. As of 1947, with its
house the architectonic style arose that called emotional, its religious
misticismo, the rescue of the Mexican and their great expresividad has caused
all a current. In 1976 creditor to the National Prize becomes of Architecture
and in 1980 he obtains the Pritzker Prize of architecture. It dies in the City
of Mexico in 1988.
