“INTERNATIONAL DAY OF the FIGHT AGAINST the ILLEGAL USE AND the ILLICIT TRAFFIC
OF DRUGS” the 26 of June of 1987, was celebrated in Vienna, Austria, the
Conference the International on the illegal use and illicit drug traffic, that
was subscribed by 60 countries among them Mexico. This conference motivated
resolution 42/112 of the General Assembly of the United Nations proposing who
day 26 of June of every year, takes place the international day of the fight
against the illegal use and the illicit traffic of drugs, doing an exhortation
to the governments of the signatory countries of the conference so that measures
implement in order to diminish significantly, the illicit demand of drugs, in
order to promote in the world-wide society the health and the well-being, and to
inform on the risks that imply the illegal drug use and the best mechanisms for
their prevention.
