The Library of Mexico was founded on 1946 by the great writer and educator Jose Vasconcelos in a part of the building known like “the Ciudadela”, constructed by the end of century XVIII like Real Tobacco Factory from the New Spain to the southwest of the Historical Center of the City of Mexico.
