On August 9, has been appointed by the General Assembly of the United Nations as the International Day of Indigenous Peoples, in the First and Second International Decade of Indigenous People of the world, emphasizes the importance of the cultural diversity of indigenous peoples and renewed efforts to solve the problems they faced in the development and recognition of rights.

Our country is a multicultural and multilingual composition based originally on its indigenous peoples, as established by the second article of the Constitution.
