100 YEARS, THANK YOU

21 - FEBRUARY - 2010

In 1909, during the government of Porfirio Díaz, Dr. Fernando Lopez, met at his house with other physicians to organize the founding of the worthy institution, defined on 5 June of that year the first interim board of the Mexican Red Cross .
In late August of that year, the city of Monterrey is involved in a tornado that hit over 50% of the population with a large number of casualties and victims, which is why on September 3 was designated a brigade support, naming as responsible for the relief group to Dr. Fernando Lopez and Ms. Luz Gonzalez, accompanying a group of ladies altruistic. This action was the first brigade for help that championed the Red Cross emblem in our country.
