Teotihuacan is one of the archaeological sites open to the public at large of the American continent. It covers an area of 263 hectares for 55 central ancient city of Teotihuacan and home to the greatest monuments. It has an area of 2.5 km from north to south and just over a kilometer from east to west. In almost all its extension are archaeological monuments can be visited.

It also has two museums, the site, which is an introduction to the ancient city and the Museum of Teotihuacan Mural "Beatriz de la Fuente, " which displays a collection of original murals were recovered throughout the city. There is also a temporary exhibition hall.
